Auckland 6.30am: A Thai translator has told a depositions hearing in Manukau District Court that Mangere M P Taito Phillip Field told her to stop co-operating with investigators from the Ingram Inquiry.
The inquiry by Noel Ingram Q C was established by the Government in 2005 to investigate Taito's relationship with Thai tiler Sunan Siriwan.
Jinda Thaivichit, who told the Court she acted as a translator for Taito and Sunan Siriwan, said Taito told her to refuse any requests for further meetings with investigators to avoid giving different answers.
And she alleges Taito told a meeting of ten Thais to give the same answers to police, or he would be in trouble.
Taito is facing forty charges of bribery and perverting the course of justice.
