The A320 Landing Gear supports the aircraft on the ground and includes shock absorbers for landing. The system is electrically controlled and hydraulically operated. That is, there is no direct mechanical linkage between the Gear Selector and the Gear. An emergency extension system extends the gear mechanically if hydraulic or electrical power is lost. |
