每年8月13日到9月2日，爱丁堡就成为举世瞩目的焦点，一年一度的爱丁堡国际艺术节在这里举办。二次大战期间，欧陆艺术家面临空前浩劫。英国艺术界知名人士群聚伦敦，冀望重新为欧洲艺术家找到一个可以互相交流的舞台。经3年筹划，终于在1947年举办了第一届爱丁堡国际艺术节。艺术节开始前一天晚上，在爱丁堡城堡门前的广场上会举行著名的军操会演，在这个表演上，你可以观赏到各个国家军乐团的不同演奏风格。中国的军乐团曾参加了2004年的表演，获得了广泛的好评。而艺术节第一天在王子街上的游行当属艺术节最盛大的节目之一。军乐队的宏大气势，苏格兰风笛的独特旋律，世界各国乐队和舞蹈队的助兴，再加上民族服装或超前的奇装异服，构成一个色彩纷呈的狂欢场面。
每年，爱丁堡的艺术节都会结束在一场烟花表演之中。它是世界历史上最悠久、规模最大的艺术节，所邀请的参展对象包括音乐，舞蹈，戏剧各领域中的顶尖人士以及深具潜力的新秀，也被公认为世界上最具有活力和创新精神的艺术节之一，对推动全球剧场艺术蓬勃发展功不可没。
During august thirteen to September second every year, Edinburgh becomes the focus point all over the world, because the annual Edinburgh international art festival is held here. During the Second World War, there were many European artists facing with catastrophe.All the famous people in art get together in London, hoping to rebuild a stage to communicate with each other for European artists. After three years' planning, finally the first Edinburgh Art day was held in 1947.The day before the Art Festival, the renowned Military Tattoo performance was held on the square before the Edinburgh Castle. There people could enjoy different styles of instrumental performance from military bands of various countries. Besides, Chinese military band received a favorable reception in the performance of 2004.And on the first day; the parade in the Princes Street is one of the biggest shows. The grand performance of the military band, the unique melody of Scottish bagpipe, the added shows of the bands and dancing teams from all over the world, fantastic costumes and national dresses, make a colorful revelry scene.
Every year, Edinburgh art festival will end up with fireworks. It is the oldest and the largest festival in the world history .which will invite top people and all the potential young people in various fields of music, dance and drama. It also is recognized as one of the art festivals which is the most dynamic and innovative in the world, playing an important role of promoting global theater artistic accomplishments of vigorous development. |
