2012年8月28日加拿大移民局更新了换发枫叶卡的规定：要求申请人提供过去五年中持有的整本护照页公证（包括所有空白页）和非英文、法文出入境图章的翻译。过去，移民局也是这样要求的。作为加拿大移民局认可的专业翻译机构，我们做过的中国护照的出入境记录翻译和公证都是那些有频繁出入境记录的人士，只是在过去是属于移民局抽查。但是，现在整本护照页的翻译、公证则成为换发枫叶卡必须做到的硬性规定，不论出入境次数多少。以下为移民局网站上有关的要求：
Translation of documents
Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:
the English or French translation; and
an Affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
a certified copy of the original document.
Certified copies
You must send certified copies of any document that is not in English or French.
To have a copy certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:
“I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”
the name of the original document
the date of the certification
his or her name
his or her official position or title and
his or her signature
公证文件通常由Lawyer律师、Notary公证员、Commissioner of Oath监誓员办理。
