会议背景介绍：  The 2014 Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on Electrochemistry will celebrate 50 years of impact of cutting-edge research since the first GRC on Electrochemistry; and highlight its continued growth in modern research and development. The GRC will feature prominent scientists and engineers from top academic institutions, national labs and industry. Several different perspectives will be presented addressing both fundamental and applied aspects covering area such as energy conversion and storage, electrodeposition and synthesis, organic and bioelectrochemistry, and physical and analytical electrochemistry. The GRC will bring together a collection of investigators who are at the forefront of their field, and will provide opportunities for junior scientists and graduate students to present their work at a preceding Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) and GRC poster session. A GRC "hot topics" open session will also be arranged from selected attendees. The collegial atmosphere of both GRS and GRC, with programmed discussion sessions as well as ad hoc informal gatherings in the afternoons and evenings, will provide an avenue for scientific exchange in the various research areas represented.
