会议背景介绍： On behalf of the organizing committee it gives me great pleasure to invite you all to the 7th International Conference on the Physics of Dusty Plasmas (ICPDP 2014) to be held in New Delhi, India from 3-7 March 2014.
The organizing committee is committed to make this conference a scientific milestone in the dissemination of knowledge in all aspects of the field of dusty and complex plasmas. The scientific program will be planned with the aim of promoting and exchanging information and forming long term collaborations between participants from all over the globe in this field.
The caravan of ICPDP conference has travelled all over the world and now the city of New Delhi eagerly awaits its arrival on 3-7 March 2014. This city, which is the capital city of India, offers a testimony of every period of history (going back to nearly 2000 years) in its historical monuments and sites along with modern buildings, shopping plazas and malls, winding flyovers and zipping metro/subway. The month of March is the best season to visit New Delhi when the cold winter has receded, the hot summer is still far, and the beautiful, colorful spring with blooming flowers is in full swing.
On behalf the organizing committee I, once again, welcome you to New Delhi and invite you to participate in ICPDP 2014 to make it a grand success.

Customs: Visitors are generally required to make a verbal identification of their baggage and declare foreign currency in excess of $10,000.
Weather: At the time of the conference, temperatures in New Delhi will range between 15°-30° C. Please visit www.imd.gov.in for weather updates in New Delhi.
Language: English is the official language for the Conference and commonly used in all business transactions.
Currency: The currency of India is Indian Rupee. One Rupee is divided into 100 Paise. Rupee currency notes come in the denomination of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000. To check the current currency rate please visit www.xe.com
Credit / Debit Cards: Almost all credit cards like VISA, Master card, Amex etc. are widely accepted by establishments including hotels, restaurants, shops etc.
Banking and exchange facilities: Currency exchange facilities are available at banks and at hotels. Most banks are open from 10 am to 2 pm from Monday to Friday; however some banks offer extended banking hours. 24-hour ATMs are located in shopping centers and many neighbourhood markets.
Electricity: In India electricity is provided at 220 V, 50 Hz. Sockets take round pins (2 or 3). Adapters are generally available at all hotels.
Taxi: Taxis are on call 24 hrs. over the telephone. Air-condtioned (AC) Radio taxis may be called by dialling +91-11-43434343, +91-11-44224422. These taxis have a flat charge of 25/- per Km (average current rate) and are available at both the International and domestic terminals. In addition, there are prepaid counters at the airport for travel to any part of the city.
Time Zone: India is 5-1/2 hours ahead of GMT, 4-1/2 hours behind Australian Eastern Time & 10-1/2 hours ahead of American Eastern Standard Time.
