会议背景介绍:  The annual SIGGRAPH conference is the premier showcase for creating experiences that stimulate the senses, and we want to include your best work!  Our community shares its visionary research, practical insights, and wild ideas at a five-day celebration embracing everything visual and interactive.

Whether you’re a pioneer of computer graphics or a recent (or soon to be) graduate looking to enter an interdisciplinary field like no other, the SIGGRAPH conference is the place in space-time for you.  We’re looking for the top talents in all our disciplines to share their experience and insights, and we’ll work with you to enable the best environments for transferring your knowledge to hungry minds.

From lecture-based courses that provide access to the icons in the fields to interactive installations demonstrating avant-garde techniques and devices, SIGGRAPH 2014 offers all the options and support you need to present your work. Our Technical Papers program is the unparalleled journal for publishing peer-reviewed, referable papers. Our relationship with MIT’s Leonardo art journal provides the same level of excellence for the fine artists of the SIGGRAPH community. Our Studio, Emerging Technologies, and Art Gallery programs showcase experiential installations that allow attendees to create their own works, interact with the latest robotic technologies, and experience art as it evolves in real time. There truly is something for everyone, but there’s nothing without you and your intellectual and creative achievements.

In addition to the areas where SIGGRAPH has traditionally led the way – rendering, visual simulation, visualization, interactivity, and image processing, to name a few – we are encouraging submissions focusing on the new ways that humanity is enjoying media through mobile devices. If you’re using a tablet, smart phone, or any other mobile device for augmented and virtual reality, location-based interactions, collaboration, visualization, or anything else cool, please consider submitting your work to our SIGGRAPH Mobile program.

SIGGRAPH 2014 – our 41st gathering – is your opportunity to be part of history, not just an observer. I’ll be looking forward to seeing your work in Vancouver.
