会议背景介绍：      On behalf of the IcAUMS 2014 Organizing Committee, I am very honored and pleased to invite you to participate in the 3rd International Conference of Asian Union of Magnetics Societies (IcAUMS), which is organized by the Asian Union of Magnetics Societies (AUMS), together with the Chinese Materials Research Society and the Chinese Society of Magnetic Materials and Applications. This conference will be held in Haikou City, Hainan Province, China, from Oct. 28 - Nov.2, 2014. The IcAUMS 2014 will be the Asian key forum to showcase the latest progress in magnetism and magnetic technologies and will be one of the most widely recognized events.
    The AUMS established on January 1, 2009 is aiming to promote the advancement of knowledge in magnetism, magnetic materials and applications in the Asia Pacific Region. The AUMS agreement was successfully made among the Magnetics Society of Japan (MSJ), the Korean Magnetics Society (KMS), the Taiwan Association of Magnetic Technology (TAMT) and the Chinese Society of Magnetic Materials and Applications (CSMMA) during the 5th Asian Forum on Magnetics held in Beijing on October 17, 2008. The 1st Council meeting, held in Sendai, Japan on March 25, 2009, decided to initiate a new International Conference, IcAUMS, which will establish a platform for all the scientists, experts and entrepreneurs in this field to communicate and exchange latest academic and industrial achievements. Two IcAUMS have been successfully held in Korea and Japan, respectively.
    I am very delighted that the 3rd IcAUMS will be held in China. The beautiful city of Haikou, known as the 'Coconut City', is the capital of Hainan Province, which is one of the most popular destinations in China.
