会议背景介绍:  We are pleased to announce the Joint International Conference of the 9th Asian Meeting on Ferroelectricity (AMF-9) and the 9th Asian Meeting on Electroceramics (AMEC-9), to be held at the Shanghai International Convention Center (Shanghai, China) on 26-30 October 2014.

The first Asian Meeting on Ferroelectricity (AMF-1), initiated by Prof. Xi Yao, was held in Xi’an – China in 1995. Then, the meeting was held in Singapore (1998, AMF-2), Hong Kong (2000, AMF-3), Bangalore – India (2003, AMF-4), Noda – Japan (2006, AMF-5), Taipei – Taiwan (2008, AMF-6), Jeju – Korea (2010, AMF-7) and Pattaya – Thailand (2012, AMF-8). The first and second Asian Meeting on Electroceramics (AMEC-1, AMEC-2) were held in Kawasaki – Japan, in 2000 and 2001, followed by Singapore (2003, AMEC-3), Hangzhou – China (2005, AMEC-4), Bangkok – Thailand (2006, AMEC-5), Tsukuba – Japan (2008, AMEC-6), Jeju – Korea (2010, AMEC-7) and Penang – Malaysia (2012, AMEC-8). At the Joint International Conference of AMF-7 with AMEC-7 there were 630 participants from 22 countries with delegates from Korea, China, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, India, European and North American countries. We hope to do it again or even bigger!

The aim of this joint conference is to bring together physicists, chemists, electronic scientists and industry engineers from universities, institutes and industries, to discuss on the progress in ferroelectrics, electroceramics and passive devices, including a broad spectrum of basic principles, materials processing and characterization, and various applications.

Shanghai is an international, modern and vibrant city, rich in history and culture, and with a wealth of areas and sites just waiting to be explored. While attending AMF-AMEC-2014, we hope to extend our hospitality to make you feel completely at home.

We also hope that you will take the opportunity to socialize and network with new acquaintances, and build upon those relationships which have already been established to sustain our collaboration. Finally, it is an honor to host this event, AMF-AMEC-2014 (AMF-9 & AMEC-9), and we look forward to welcoming our friends and colleagues from around Asia, as well as the rest of the world.
