会议背景介绍： It is my great honor to invite you to the 3rd International Symposium on Flame-Retardant Materials & Technologies (ISFRMT 2014) in Hefei, China from 18 to 20 June 2014.
China has been one of countries with the largest consumption of flame-retardant products. The various demands for new flame-retardant materials and technologies have promoted more and more scientists and engineers to participate in the relevant research and development activities. A number of flame retardants and flame-retardant technologies from different countries have been used by Chinese companies.
The past two symposiums were successfully held by China Flame Retardant Society and Sichuan University at Chengdu, China , and provided an excellent forum for the introduction of new ideas, materials and technologies in flame retardancy for participants and a communication bridge between academia and industry. Now the 3rd ISFRMT will be hosted by State Key Laboratory of Fire Science (SKLFS) at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Established in 1958 to meet the needs of the nation, USTC is located in Hefei of China. Its birth was regarded as a major event in the Chinese history of education and science. Since then, USTC has been firmly devoted to basic research and original innovation in order to cultivate talent and capacity for dealing with key issues in China’s development of science and technology. Despite twists and turns over the years, it has achieved great successes and created a unique approach to higher education that is the most suitable for the situations in China. Its impressive accomplishments have been praised by many people in the academic world.
