会议名称(中文):  第七届国际深部高应力开采会议
会议名称(英文):  Seventh International Conference on Deep and High Stress Mining
所属学科:  矿业工程,岩土工程
开始日期:  2014-09-16
结束日期:  2014-09-18
所在国家:  加拿大
所在城市:  加拿大
具体地点:  Sudbury
主办单位:  Canadian Rock Mechanics Association

会议背景介绍:
Underground mining continues to progress at deeper levels and industry is now extracting mineral reserves at depth that previously would have been considered “un-minable”. Deep mining is a very technical and challenging environment. The geotechnical and logistical issues, including reticulation and refrigeration of fresh air, are often intense and best practices and innovations need to be implemented.

The Australian Centre for Geomechanics, The University of Western Australia looks forward to hosting the Seventh International Conference on Deep and High Stress Mining in Sudbury for the first time. This follows the previous International Deep and High Stress Mining Seminars held in Santiago, 2010; Perth, 2007; Quebec City, 2006; Johannesburg, 2004; and Perth, 2002.  The series objective is to promote documentation of the latest technologies and practices of mining in deep and high stress mining environment.

The Australian Centre for Geomechanics has enjoyed a long and proud association with the Canadian mining industry since our inception in 1992. Our countries have a common wealth of state-of-the-art geotechnical knowledge and technologies. We are delighted to share our worldwide deep and high stress mining excellence by hosting our very first international geotechnical mining event in Canada.  The University of Toronto (and previously Laval University) continues to provide ongoing support and encouragement of this unique event series. Associate Professor Marty Hudyma, Laurentian University and the ACG team look forward to joining with our Canadian friends and peers to host Deep Mining 2014 in Sudbury.
