会议背景介绍:  Since the first International Conference on Magnetically Levitated Systems and Linear Drives (MAGLEV) in 1977, there were 7 conferences in Asia, 7 in Europe, 6 in North America and just one in the South Hemisphere, namely in Rio de Janeiro, in year 2000. After 14 years, we have the great honor to host the 22nd  MAGLEV Conference in Rio de Janeiro for the second time.
The city, recently elected as World Heritage by UNESCO (July 2012), hosted RIO+20 International World Summit Meeting in June 2012 and will host the FIFA Confederations Cup in June 2013, the World Youth Day with the Pope in July 2013; the Football World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016. Rio de Janeiro, known by its hospitality, is ready to host major events. It will also be an opportunity to visit the Sugar Loaf Mountain, the Corcovado (with the statue of Christ Redeemer, one of the seven new marvelous wonder of the contemporary world) as well as the famous Copacabana beach, local where our Conference will take place.
