上文显然是一比较典型的中文合同文本，在翻译时，考虑到英文合同文本的范式及结构及目标读者，对于此合同开头的翻译不能仅仅为“为翻译而翻译”，显然需要转化成英文合同文本的结构和格式，此技巧对对译员的要求相当高，不仅需要具备较高的法律英语语言的驾驭能力，而且还还要精通法律尤其是对中英合同要有相当的理解。具体参见上文翻译。

前言及开头属于合同翻译中比较固定的一部分内容，其形式变化不大，该部分内容主要介绍合同的双方当事人及签署日期，一些较大的合同中会同时规定“preamble”、“definitions”和“whereas and thereby”等内容。具体而言，该部分内容为合同的简介部分，不会涉及当事人之间的权利义务规定，而仅是为正文的主合同内容服务的。但对该部分的翻译处理相当专业，因此难度也相当大，尤其是将此开头专业、地道的翻译出来，并同事考虑原英文的格式。而且对此开头的翻译涉及汉英两种合同文本结构格式之间的转换，只有在熟读中英两种文本格式及结构的基础上，方能准确胜任此开头的专业翻译。但也不是说对此合同开头的的翻译深不可测，无法驾驭。相反还是有一定范式的。因此我们要在熟读此范式的基础上，结合相关的中英文合同进行反复对照学习，反复实践，以更好地胜任对该合同开头的翻译。具体请参考以下范式：
