Brief introduction to the Humanistic Institute for Teacher Education
教师教育人文学院是北京教育学院所属的教学研究型的二级学院,组建于2008年1月,主要承担北京市中小学人文学科教师的学历教育和继续教育任务。学院下设中文系、社会科学系、初等教育系、教师专业发展研究所以及行政办公室和教学办公室。
The Humanistic Institute for Teacher Education is a teaching-research type secondary institute under Beijing Institute of Education, it was founded in January 2008 and mainly undertakes the education for educational qualification and further education task of the teachers of humanistic subject in the primary and secondary schools of Beijing. The Institute includes a Department of Chinese, a Department of Social Science, a Department of Elementary Education, a teacher professional development research institute and an administrative office and a teaching office.
教师教育人文学院现有教职工53人,其中专任教师46人,管理人员7人。专任教师中,教授3人,副教授17人;硕士16人,博士13人。这支队伍具有学历高、学科多样、研究领域广泛等特点,在中国传统文化、中外现代新诗、教师专业发展、国际理解教育和生活价值教育等方面,取得了丰硕的研究成果,并产生了一定的学术影响。
The Humanistic Institute for Teacher Education has a total teaching staff of 53 including 46 professional teachers and 7 management staff. Among the professional teachers, three are professors, 17 are deputy professors, 16 are masters and 13 are doctors. This group is characterized by high educational qualification, diversified subjects, wide research fields and so on, they had made plentiful research achievements and caused certain academic influence in traditional Chinese culture, modern Chinese and foreign poems, professional development of teachers, international understanding education and the living value education, etc.
教师教育人文学院自成立以来,以提升首都基础教育领域人文学科教师的专业素养和人文精神为工作目标,以人才培养、学科建设、队伍建设、文化建设为主要内容,先后承担了北京市中小学人文学科教师以及市级骨干教师和学科带头人的培训,并对西藏拉萨、新疆和田、湖北巴东和四川什邡的骨干教师开展了援助性培训。
The Humanistic Institute for Teacher Education regards the improvement of the professional accomplishment and humanistic spirit of the teachers of humanistic subject in the fundamental education field in Beijing as the work target, and takes the talent cultivation, subject building, group building and culture building as the main content, and has successively undertaken the training of the teachers of humanistic subject the primary and secondary schools in Beijing and the municipal level backbone teacher and subject front-runner, and provided supportive training for the backbone teachers in Lasa of Tibet,Hetian of Xinjiang, Badong of Hubei and Shifang of Sichuan.
