2.2.3 Transport Plates (Pans) 输送板(输送盘)
For a reliable transport of the stones there are pans (transport plates) fixed on a chain. The pan is often made of manganese steel cast. It consists of side boarders and reinforcing ribs which increase the bending stiffness (fig. 7). Clearance holes are provided at every pan to bolt them on the dozer chain.

Contrary to our competitors we do not use any strand casting pans (see fig. 10). Sandvik pans are special designed parts refering to requirements of the customer. From our point of view strand casting parts are not reliable for big stones in the impact area in oposite to Sandvik pans.

We optimized the pans according to a FEM analysis. Hence we designed the pans as casted or as welded construction. Figure 11 is showing the calculated result of this FEM analysis. The different colors are displaying several values of stresses. The reinforced rib below the pan could be optimized in thickness and height.

Figure 12 displays one half of pans joined together. The different color shows several stresses. The impact area is shown clearly as light green color as most stressed area. The lower load of feeding area is shown in dark blue color.

The whole arrangement of pans is shown in Figure 13. The pan shape has a special design so that spillage ripples as less as possible through the gaps of the pans. Some pans can optionally be equipped with flight bars to support material conveyance.
输送盘的整体布置在图13中显示。输送盘的形状经过特别设计,因而通过输送盘间隙只有最低程度的溅溢。有些输送盘可以选配刮板来支持物料输送。

2.2.4 Dozer Chains  推送链
On each side of the apron feeder there is a transport chain arranged. These chains are used for transport the pans and the stones. On the chain the pans are bolted. The chain is specified as dozer chain and all links are lifetime oil lu-bricated. Normally the chain consists of chain links (Figure 14 right). For sep-arating the chain into transportable pieces locking links are introduced at spe-cific positions (fig. 14 left).

The mounted chain with locking links (highlighted) and chain links is shown in Figure 15. Depending on the essential drive power, i.e. the material which is to be transported, an applicable chain size is selected. The higher the essential drive power the higher the required fracture strength and size of the chain links. Therefore Sandvik offers different chain sizes (D4, D7, D9 and D11) depending of the case of application.
