The footwear industry is a strength unique to Fujian province, which is among the three provinces that hold the best developed footwear industry in China. There’re over 10,000 footwear manufacturers there, with a total output of nearly 1billion pairs and a sales income of nearly 80billion yuan, among which nearly 40billion yuan is brought about the export. Fujian Footwear Industry has formed a product structure with various types, complete specs, diversified classes and eye-catching uniqueness. The products include hundreds of varieties, such as sneakers, tourist shoes, leather shoes, sandals, rubber overshoes, casual shoes, dress shoes, leather shoes, mountaineering shoes, manual beads slipper, skating shoes and safety shoes. Among these, the production of sneakers and tourist shoes take up 40% of the total output of these two types in China, and 20% of that in the whole world. There’s such a saying widely spread in Fujian: on average, there’s one person having a pair of Fujian-made shoes out of every 12 persons. In Chinese market, among the Top 10 sneaker manufacturers in sale, half are based in Fujian, and over 30 enterprises there have sales incomes exceeding 100million yuan. Furthermore, the development of this industry in Fujian helps drive the development of supporting industries. Currently, there’re professional plants engaged in leather, shoemaking materials, chemical and industrial materials, shoemaking machines and digital moulding to offer auxiliary production to manufacturers of finished shoes.

The footwear industry in Fujian mainly takes off in Quanzhou, Fuzhou and Putian cities with comparatively well-developed economy and convenient traffic conditions. Geographically, this province neighbors economically developed Shanghai and Zhejiang in the north, and the most active Guangdong province in the south, with obvious strength. And enterprises in Fujian have been making every effort to enhance their reputations and market shares. According to recent statistics, now 25 Fujian footwear manufacturers have delivered advertisements on CCTV, the most important TV station in China; CCTV-5, the sports channel, is even known as “the channel for Fujian footwear industries”.

That includes a shoemaking production line widely applied to leather shoes, sneakers, handicraft shoes and vulcanized shoes; wholly automatic round-plate plastic injection machine for rubber shoes; high-efficiency EVA injection foaming forming machine and various highly efficient cutting machines, raw material pressing machines, die cutting machines, nail hitting and heel fixing machines, shoe’s head and end polishing machines, boot face shaping machines, warm shaping machines and cold shaping machines.
