20世纪90年代以来,由于生产力的高速发展和科学技术的飞速进步,顾客消费水平的不断提高,企业之间的竞争加剧,再加上政治、经济和社会环境的变化,使得需求的不确定性不断的增加,导致需求日益多样化,在这种情况下,企业为了保持竞争力优势,必须不断缩短产品研制开发的时间、改进产品质量、降低生产成本、缩短交货期,然而要达到这些目标,仅仅靠单个企业的自身力量是远远不够的,必须以集成的方式,把企业内外部的物流、信息流、资金流有效地整合起来,在协调个体绩效的基础上使系统的整体绩效达到最优,供应链管理为解决该问题提供了良好的途径。
Since 1990s, due to the rapid development of productivity and booming progress of scientific technology, as well as the continuous enhancement of customer’s consumption level and harsher competition between enterprises, plus the changes in the political, economic and social environments, the uncertainty of demands kept increasing, leading to gradually diversified demands. In such a situation, an enterprise should try to reduce the time of product development, enhance product’s quality, reduce production cost, and shorten the delivery time, so as to maintain its competitive edges. However, to achieve these goals, it’s far from enough to solely rely on its own strengths. A better way is to adopt the method of integration to integrate logistics, flow of information and flow of cash, so that the overall performance of the system could be optimized based on well-coordinated performances of individual units. And supply chain management offers excellent paths to solving this problem.
作为一种先进的管理方法,供应链管理就是对整条供应链中的各组织与部门之间的物流、信息流、资金流进行计划协调和控制,提高组织的运作效率和效益。随着改革开放的进一步深入,中国逐渐成为了世界制造中心,各跨国巨头纷纷在中国投资设厂,中国内部企业面临的竞争压力越来越大,如何利用供应链管理思想和其它先进的管理观念,降低企业库存成本,提升民族产业的世界竞争力,以迎接国外企业的挑战,这也是当前企业界急需解决的课题。

Since 1990s, supply chain management has become a hot spot among studies of management. As an important content of supply chain management, inventory management has begun to be studied and practiced since 1950s in the academic circle, leading to the establishment of many practical models of inventory management, which contributed a lot to guiding enterprises to reduce inventory costs. Management of inventory cost is the central content of inventory management, which presents the application of management, statistics and operation research, but it’s also a hard nut to crack in inventory management for the supply chain. Chinese academic circle has had few studies of the management of inventory cost so far, so no integrated study system has been formed with an overall view of the supply chain; and in the aspect of practice, further studies are required. Therefore, this thesis makes the issue of management of inventory cost the object investigated, and tries to make helpful discussions from the perspective of integrating the theory with the practice. As inventory cost falls into the category of logistics cost, and the control of inventory cost in the environment of supply chain concerns the cognition of logistics, supply chain and ideas of supply chain management, based on the relations among the supply chain, the logistics and inventory cost, this thesis will propose strategies and solutions for the optimization of management of inventory cost in LX company, a major supplier of packing materials for Guangzhou P&G), in the environment of supply chain, by probing into the current situation of inventory management in the company and according to the research thought of inventory of raw materials—inventory of semi-finished products—inventory of finished products.
