Papers and Posters submitted should appeal to a reasonably wide audience. Recent topic areas that have been popular include Micro-optics, Novel Systems and Computational Tools. We are continuing to solicit submissions in these areas.
Emerging technologies that don't otherwise have a well defined category are also welcome in this conference. While new technology is the primary focus, historical review of optics and tricks of the trade are additionally requested.
Also, we have recognized that our “Optics and Music” topical would be well suited as part of a larger encompassing “Optics and Entertainment” category. We highly encourage authors to submit their work in the application of optics in the field of music and entertainment including: musical instrumentation, laser shows, concert performances, museum exhibits, gestural interfaces, movies, gaming, toys, novel 3D displays, hobbying, etc.
