The Gordon Research Conference on Colloidal, Macromolecular & Polyelectrolyte Solutions presents the frontiers of research about solution properties of charged, macromolecular and colloidal systems and their interfaces. This conference has a strong interdisciplinary tradition bringing together materials scientists, soft-matter and complex fluids physicists, engineers, chemists, biophysicists and biochemists. The conference attracts industrial, government and academic scientists to a stimulating set of presentations and discussions. The program highlights the exciting and fast growing areas of colloidal, macromolecular and polyelectrolyte solutions and their impact on materials design, self-assembly and nanostructures. The 2014 conference will have an emphasis on "active materials". The conference will present the latest exciting results of the leaders in the colloid, polymer and polyelectrolyte fields. Poster sessions will also provide a mechanism for presentation and discussion of the work of conference participants; participants are strongly encouraged to present a poster and should contact the vice chair for details. For the first time, we will have a Gordon Research Seminar during the weekend preceding the GRC, primarily for PhD students and post-docs in this field. |
