会议背景介绍：
Locate is the new annual conference on spatial information in Austral ia and New Zealand, bringing together for the first time all joint forces of SSSI, SIBA, ANZLIC, OSP, LINZ, CRCSI, PSMA, ASIERA and others . Locate will become the meeting point of industry, government and academia in one of the fastest growing areas of IT. Research@Locate, the academic research stream at Locate, aims to become the premier academic meeting event in the Australasian region . Research@Locate will be organized by the Australasian Spatial Information Education and Research Association , ASIERA(www.asiera.org.au).
Research@ Locate will provide a transparent full-paper peer review process, with carefully selected presentations and papers , and with its own annual, open-access proceedings.
征文范围及要求：
Papers incorporating one or more of the following themes are
especially encouraged:
· positioning and sensing
· remote sensing and imaging for spatial information
· spatial information integration
· spatial information infrastructure
· location intelligence
· crowdsourcing, volunteered geogr aphic information, and citizens as sensors
· spatial and spatiotemporal pattern recognition , data mining and knowledge discovery
· spatial human computer interaction
· spatial web and mobile services and mapping
In addition, research papers relating to the special Locate’14 themes are encouraged :
· Locating in the digital economy
· New technologies
· Smart environments: cities, governance, farming
· National security
