北京大学医学部公共卫生学院 社会医学与健康教育系教授，主任，博士生导师，副院长。1982年毕业于北京医学院卫生系,1988年在河北医科大学获硕士学位， 1991年赴日本山梨大学医学部留学， 1996年获医学博士学位，之后留该校任教。2003年回到北京大学医学部，从事慢性病的流行病学、健康教育与健康管理，营养与食品安全等方面研究、教学与社会实践。
近10年来，在国内外学术杂志发表论文170多篇，主编《健康管理学》、 《常见慢性病社区综合防治管理手册》,《健康科普讲演教程与实践》以及《护理健康促进》等。社会兼职有：《中华健康管理学杂志》副主编，《Environmental Health and Preventive Medicine》杂志副主编，中国健康促进与教育协会常务理事，中国环境诱变剂学会常务理事，北京市营养学会常务理事，中华医学会健康管理学分会委员，中华预防医学会健康风险评估与控制专业委员会常务委员，澳大利亚Griffith大学等国内外5所大学的客座教授。
