主要有三个研究方向。首先植物激素对于植物发育的很多方面都很重要,而植物中也进化出了若干种机制来调节植物体内激素的水平,这些机制包括植物生长素的从头合成、降解以及与糖分子和氨基酸形成辍合物。我们实验室在分子和亚细胞水平研究植物激素的甲基化修饰与植物生长发育(包括叶片卷曲和种子萌发等)之间的调控关系,通过研究这种新的修饰方式可以帮助我们进一步理解植物激素的活性调控的复杂性,解决“激素多种调控方式是否参与其多种生物学功能”这一科学问题。我们同时还对植物的分枝的调控分子机理感兴趣,也正在通过功能缺失突变体研究一些基因和途径在这些发育过程中的作用。其次,我们对蛋白质降解途径在雌雄配子体以及胚胎发生发育过程中的作用感兴趣,目前正在通过反向遗传学的方法进行研究。其三,我们正在系统地对拟南芥转录因子基因进行功能鉴定。
