Physics and Chemistry of Glasses was first published in 1960. There are six issues. Each issue contains peer reviewed papers, reviews and abstracts.
The bound and loose volumes can be viewed at the Society's office, the bound volumes are also held at the University of Sheffield library.

The Society of Glass Technology (SGT) and the Deutsche Glastechnische Gesellschaft (DGG) reached a historic agreement to combine their journals from 2006 into two new series entitled
Glass Technology: European Journal of Glass Science and Technology Part A
Physics and Chemistry of Glasses: European Journal of Glass Science and Technology Part B
