2012年9月，Elsevier学术期刊《Cretaceous Research》正式出版了IGCP555专辑。专辑题为“白垩纪温室世界快速海洋环境/气候变化”。本专辑特邀主编是我本人、Michael Wagreich（奥地利）和Ismail. O. Yilmaz （土耳其）。这一专辑是在联合国教科文组织（UNESCO）所属的国际地球科学计划IGCP555项目的2010学术研讨会和2010年丹佛美国地质学会年会Pardee专题上提出的，研究者集中探讨了白垩纪温室世界快速环境/气候变化发生的过程、原因和结果。

 

 

摘要：白垩纪是研究温室气候演化的典型范例。20世纪以来全球大气CO2含量持续上升，引起了一系列关键问题：1）白垩纪时期地球系统是如何维持温室状态的，尤其是在气候发生变化的情况下；2）白垩纪气候和古环境是以多快的速度变化以及变化的原因；3）地球档案室中保存的记录，是否允许对白垩纪古环境变化速度与现今全球变化速度进行对比。白垩纪温室世界快速而强烈的全球气候和环境变化包括：大洋缺氧事件、大洋红层、“冷期”或冰川作用以及碳酸盐岩台地沉没事件。这一专辑是在联合国教科文组织（UNESCO）所属的国际地球科学计划IGCP555项目的2010学术研讨会和2010年美国地质学会年会Pardee专题上提出的，研究者集中探讨了白垩纪温室世界快速环境/气候变化发生的过程、原因和结果。

 

Cretaceous Research

 

Cretaceous Research provides a forum for the rapid publication of research on all aspects of the Cretaceous Period, including its boundaries with the Jurassic and Tertiary. Authoritative papers reporting detailed investigations of Cretaceous stratigraphy and palaeontology, studies of regional geology, and reviews of recently published books are complemented by short communications of significant new findings.

 

Papers submitted to Cretaceous Research should place the research in a broad context, with emphasis placed towards our better understanding of the Cretaceous, that are therefore of interest to the diverse, international readership of the journal. Full length papers that focus solely on a local theme or area will not be accepted for publication; authors of short communications are encouraged to discuss how their findings are of relevance to the Cretaceous on a broad scale.
