International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate (ISIAQ)
Welcome to ISIAQ, the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate
ISIAQ is an international, independent, multidisciplinary, scientific, non-profit organization whose purpose is to support the creation of healthy, comfortable and productive indoor environments. We strongly believe this is achievable by advancing the science and technology of indoor air quality and climate as it relates to indoor environmental design, construction, operation and maintenance, air quality measurement and health sciences.
Indoor Air 2014 (The 13th International Conference on Indoor Air Quality and Climate) in Hong Kong, July 7-12, was a tremendous success.
With over 1,000 participants, a full range of plenary and key note lectures, technical sessions, and workshops as well as many opportunities for scientists from around the world to meet and exchange ideas, ISIAQ's flagship conference once again demonstrated the value of interdisciplinary scientific collaboration.
The Proceedings will be available on memory sticks at a discounted price of USD30 to members (including postage) and to non-members for USD105 (including postage). A special offer of a package deal of new membership and a copy of the Proceedings will be available for USD150.
ISIAQ plans to make videos of the plenary and keynote lectures available on its web site after some editing and formatting tasks are complete. Members will have free access, another benefit of ISIAQ membership. Non-members will be able to pay a fee to watch the videos or may simply choose to join ISIAQ. Please check back on our web site for information about the videos.
Thanks to Professor Yuguo Li and his terrific staff for a well-organized, well-managed, and enjoyable conference experience.
ISIAQ Mentorship Program
ISIAQ is excited to announce the creation of a mentorship program! Dr. Brent Stephens from IIT will be serving as the program coordinator.

“Healthy Buildings Research: New Developments, Future Directions and Potential Solutions.”
ISIAQ was founded in 1992 by 109 international scientists and practitioners following the 5th International Conference on Indoor Air Quality and Climate, Indoor Air '90 (Toronto, 1990). It is an international, independent, multidisciplinary, scientific, non-profit organization whose purpose is to support the creation of healthy, comfortable and productivity-encouraging indoor environments.
As a Society, our major role is to facilitate international and interdisciplinary communication and information exchange by publishing and fostering publication on indoor air quality and climate. We organize, sponsor and support initiatives such as meetings, conferences, and seminars on indoor air quality and climate; and we develop, adapt and maintain guidelines for the improvement of indoor air quality and climate. We also cooperate with government and other agencies and societies with interests in the indoor environment and climate
Members of the Society are:
Scientists involved in all aspects of indoor air quality
Government and regulatory professionals
Medical practitioners
Occupational health professionals
Building owners and managers
Building, construction and air-conditioning engineers
Architects
Environmental lawyers
Some of ISIAQ's most important activities include:
Publication of a high profile journal Indoor Air which reports original research results in the broad area defined by the indoor environment of non industrial buildings.
Publication of a Newsletter which carries news and information.
Developing guideline documents by a number of Task Forces focused on specific issues. Task Forces convene during ISIAQ conferences.
Organising Indoor Air and Healthy Buildings series as primary Society conferences. |
