Founded in 1948 by academician Georgy Nadjakov, "Comptes rendus de l'Académie bulgare des Sciences" is also known as "Доклади на БАН","Доклады Болгарской академии наук" and "Proceeding of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences". INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS
"Proceedings of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences" (Comptes rendus) publishes reports of original scientific results in the field of mathematical, physical, chemical, biological, medical, Earth and life sciences as well as engineering, forest and agrarian sciences in English. The papers should not be of a descriptive or polemical character and should contain only unpublished data in the respective scientific field. They can further be expanded to be published elsewhere.
Comptes rendus also publishes Concise Review Papers (mini reviews) at the invitation of the Editorial Board. Mini reviews should reflect the latest achievements in a given field of knowledge. They should be presented in the form of a report as according to the requirements of the journal not exceeding more that 14 standard pages.
Manuscripts should be submitted in duplicate, with double spacing throughout and a diskette/disk is required. They should not exceed eight standard typewritten pages (30 lines per page, 65 strokes per line) including figures and tables (not more than 4). Each manuscript should be preceded by an abstract and key words. Spelling should conform to the preferred spelling of the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary.
All manuscripts submitted for publication must first be reviewed by two independent anonymous reviewers. After approval of the manuscript by the reviewers the paper is submitted for publication by a member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (academician or corresponding member). The date of submission corresponds to the exact date in which the paper is submitted to the editorial office. The full address of each author, complete with postal code, must be placed at the end of the manuscript.
Each table should be typed on a separate sheet, bearing a title, units, and precisely drawn columns. The International System of Units (SI) should be used.
All graphs, illustrations and photographs are referred to as Figures, abbreviated to "Fig.xx" They should be clear and contrasting with no explanations on. Figure captions should be written on a separate sheet.
References should contain up to 20 cited works arranged according to their order of appearance in the text. The family name precedes the initials of the first name in case of the first author. The references should include the names of the authors, followed by the standard abbreviation of the journal, the volume number, the year of publication, number of the journal and the pages cited. For books - the title, the city of publication and the publisher followed by the year of publication and pages. Example:

References should be indicated in the text by giving the corresponding numbers in parentheses
The contents of each journal should be published in English and French.
The authors are offered one proof-reading. Corrections are allowed only of errors produced in the course of setting up, and, as an exception, in connection with some new aspects of the problem discussed. Contributors receive 5 copies of their paper free of charge |
