English-Chinese Interpreter

Michael Xu, Chinese Interpreter in Northwest of China

I am  from Lanzhou. I saw your employment information when I was hunting a part-time translating job on internet. I graduated from Northwest Minority University six years ago. In the second year of my graduation, I've got my TEM-8 Certificate.

After that, I worked for Gansu Xuejing Import & Export Co., Ltd. for about 2 years. I was a salesman on international trade. At that period, I mainly did international trade on chemical products. I knew well about a lot of food additives and how to communicate efficiently with my international clients by email and telephone. During my two year experience of international trade, I had independently participated in Canton Fair, representing my company to receive our old and new clients. Meanwhile, I had a chance to take my European clients to visit the factory. This made me get a tremendous improvement on my oral English.

In August, 2011, I entered into NETZSCH (Lanzhou) Pumps Co., Ltd. to be a Admin Specialist. My company is the only German-owned company in Lanzhou. We have two General Managers who were both from abroad. I've translated company announcements and many materials of pumps. and I always communicated in English with my boss on many fields, such as house renting, company cleaning affairs, furniture style and decoration style on our new office building constructing, preparation and organization on company activities, and some other management topics. Till now, I had been an English host for two times in our New Year Party. In this April, we hold the 20th Anniversary Ceremony for our company. We invited about 40 guests from abroad, more than 30 guests from government and more than 40 national clients and suppliers. Fortunately, I have the honor to be the English host again.

After my experience in these years, I believe that I am quite qualified for the English-translating job. I would like to try the English translating job on any fields. I hope that I may be a part of yours. By the way, wish your company thriving and flourishing.

Best regards,
