The schedule for international conferences is usually arranged in an orderly way. Many officials and experts will give speeches in a single day, and two interpreters will be arranged to undertake the interpretation task by turn. Therefore, please provide us with the detailed schedule, for our interpreters, in advance, so that they can divide tasks and get prepared beforehand.

 

In regard to speech materials, it is well known that speakers usually like to express some very professional content with thousands of words in just dozens of minutes. It is impossible for interpreters to comprehend all of this content extemporaneously, and interpret simultaneously in a proper way. Simultaneous interpretation is done on the spot and speakers may express a thesis extemporarily; however, even the best interpreter in the world must work on the speech outline for preparation purposes. 

 

In cases where speech materials cannot be provided in a timely manner, you have to provide the relevant information on the topics being discussed at the conference as much as is possible. This material includes: the detailed subjects for discussion, the detailed disciplines and spheres involved, and the status and information of the speakers.
