Beijing and Shanghai Chinese Translation Service in The field of failure of Shotgun circuit

B.  For failure of Shotgun circuit, proceed to the following steps:

1.  Remove cover from Shotgun Mount assembly to gain access to Molex connector M19.

2.  Connect a digital voltmeter to the “power side” of connector M19.

3.  Activate the shotgun circuit and confirm the presence of vehicle battery voltage.

4.  If voltage is present, replace the  Solenoid assembly.

5.  If voltage is not present, verify the integrity of the wiring from Molex Connector M19 to Connector P1 at the Main Relay Board.  If wiring checks intact, proceed to next step.

Beijing   Mandarin Chinese Translation Service Company has translated many technical documents in the field of failure of Shotgun circuit.

6.  Open the Top Cover and remove PiP Module.  Refer to Section 6-4 for disassembly procedures.

(a)  Activate the failed weapons circuit and check the following Bar LEDs for illumination.  Refer to figure 6-5 for locations of Bar LEDs on the Vehicle Interface Board.
? Weapons circuit #1 Bar LED LB 1 and LB 5
? Weapons circuit #2  Bar LED LB 2 and LB 5
? Shotgun circuit  Bar LED LB 3 and LB 5

(b)  If correct Bar LEDs illuminate when activating the failed weapons circuit, go to step (d).

(c)  If correct Bar LEDs did NOT illuminate when activating the failed weapons circuit (and there is only a single function failure) replace the Switchbox.  If problem still exists, contact REMOTEC Service Department at (865)-483-1492.

(d)  Refer to figure 6-6 for the location of the LEDs:  Weapon #1, Weapon #2, and Shotgun Weapon on the Main Relay Board.

(e)  Activate the failed Weapons circuit and check for the illumination of the appropriate LED on Main Relay Board:

? Weapons circuit #1 LED labeled WP1
? Weapons circuit #2 LED labeled WP2
? Shotgun circuit  LED labeled SWP

(f)  If correct LED is illuminating on the Main Relay Board and NO voltage is present at connector M12 for weapons circuits 1 and 2 or connector  M19 for shotgun circuit, the problem exists in the wiring between the Main Relay Board and connector M12 or M19 (e.g. female pins spread apart).  The integrity of the wiring must be checked.  Schematics are found on drawings B-2450-9340 and D-2450-9910.

(g)  If correct LED is NOT illuminating on the Main Relay Board AND the correct Bar LEDs are illuminating on the Vehicle Interface Board, replace the Main Relay Board.  Refer to Section 6-4 for disassembly procedures.  If the problem still exists, contact REMOTEC Service Department at (865)-483-1492.
