APPENDIX A-18   NIGHT VISION KIT 
 
Night Vision Kit.  (See Reference Drawing D-2450-1210) 
 
1.0 DESCRIPTION
 
Replacement of the color Pan/Tilt camera and addition of the Infrared filter allows viewing when no visible light is present in an area.
 
2.0 INSTALLATION/REMOVAL
 
Remove the screws holding the Pan/Tilt camera in the box.  Separate the connectors and lay aside in a secure place.  Install the Night Vision Camera Assembly.  Re-install the screws and tighten.  Secure the second filter over the lights on the Arm Camera.  Turn the system “ON” and illuminate the lights.  The system is ready for use.
 
3.0 OPERATION
 
With the kit installed, the filters on the lights will allow for an infrared source which will provide the operator with a clear black and white picture without the presence of visible light.
 
4.0 THEORY OF OPERATION
 
When it is desirable to operate the system in total darkness, or extremely low light conditions, and without using bright spotlights to blind or detract, this kit provides a clear black and white video picture when no or low light conditions are present.  A low light level camera, which uses the infrared light spectrum, provides this capability.
 
5.0MAINTENANCE
 
There is NO periodic maintenance required on this system.

2.0 安装/拆除
        将用于在箱子内固定摇摆/倾斜摄像机的螺钉拆下，将接线器分开并放置在安全位置。安装夜视摄像机装置，重新安装螺钉并拧紧。在臂式摄像机上照明的上面固定第二个滤光片。打开系统并将照明灯点亮。系统就可以使用了。

3.0 操作
        安装完装置之后，照明灯上面的滤光片将在无可见光的情况下允许红外光源向操作人员提供清晰的黑白图像。

4.0 工作原理
        当需要在完全黑暗或光线极低条件，且没有聚光灯的情况下需要使用系统时，该装置可在无光或低光条件下提供清晰的黑白视频图像。采用红外光谱的低照度摄像机可提供此性能。

5.0维护
         该系统不需定期维护。
