APPENDIX A-20   LASER ASSEMBLY 
 
Laser Assembly.  (See Reference Drawing C-7055-5170) 
 
1.0 DESCRIPTION
 
The Laser Assembly can be attached to any of the disrupter or shotgun mounts for better aiming accuracy.
 
2.0 INSTALLATION/REMOVAL
 
Using the hardware provided, attach the Laser Assembly to the end of the mount using the existing tapped holes.  Connect the Molex connector M65.  Secure the wiring using the straps provided to prevent the cable from “snagging” during use.  Attach connector P20 when using the laser assembly on a disrupter mount.  Activate the Laser switch at the controller to energize the laser.
 
3.0 OPERATION 
 
CAUTION
Do not look directly into the laser beam.  Permanent eye damage can occur.
 
For safety reasons, a momentary switch is used to activate the laser.  Hold the switch on when in use.  If multiple lasers are used, all will operate simultaneously when the switch is activated.
 
4.0 THEORY OF OPERATION
 
Adding a laser or multiple lasers to the disruption devise can greatly improve the accuracy. 
 
5.0MAINTENANCE
 
No periodic maintenance is required for the Laser Assembly.
 
To adjust for proper aiming, loosen the screws holding the laser and the adapter block.  With the laser “ON”, position the laser using the slots in the mount for adjustment until the desired placement is achieved.  Retighten the screws.
