The lighting industry and government have no solutions to the need for energy-efficient, high quality bulbs, and are up against a law taking effect in 2012 that eliminates the incandescent bulb fully by 2016.  This is a 5 billion bulb per year problem in the US alone. The industry of lighting and bulbs has above average growth rates, with CAGR of double-digits expected by many government and private research sources.

 

Our company’s inventors have solved the problem with a new category of bulb, and a new separated base that saves consumers money. All combined for the same price of compact-florescent (CFL) bulbs sold today, but with an environmentally friendly, improved natural light, that lasts 20x to 40x longer than traditional incandescent and up to 5x longer than CFL. Saves 50% energy vs. incandescent and is ahead of other emerging advanced bulbs. Our solutions are patented and patent-pending.

 

Our products are production-ready, and can be manufactured today from over 90% recycled materials, including bio-degradables safe for landfills.

For example, there are 425+ million 60-Watt incandescent bulbs sold in the US each year alone, which is 50% of the light bulbs used each year per the Energy Information Agency of the US Department of Energy. XXXX’s patented products exceed the government’s stated requirements to replace incandescent bulbs starting in 2012.  These demanding new energy-saving standards phases out the consumer bulbs (25, 40, 60, 75, 100 etc) wattages, and opens up potential for replacement by our cost- and energy-saving bulb. In addition, our core product already has the required UL listing.

 

At the current time, the company is finishing a seed round of $2 million, for 20% ownership, a low valuation in comparison to recent sector deals closed.  We also seek manufacturing, logistics, research, sales partners in the electronics and lighting and energy conservation fields.
