In the past three decades, the need for structure-preserving algorithms, for the important class of differential equations arises in many fields of applied sciences. The main idea of structure-preserving algorithms is that numerical integrators should conserve as much as possible the qualitative behavior of the original continuous systems.
This symposium is aimed to bring together brilliant scientists with overlapping interests in structure-preserving algorithms for differential equations and encourage exchange of new ideas and stimulate new collaboration in this important area. |
