会议背景介绍:
International conference “Stability and Control Processes” is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of V.I. Zubov (1930–2000), professor, corresponding member of RAS.
Vladimir Zubov made a great contribution to the development of the qualitative theory of differential equations, the theory of rigid body motion, the optimal control theory, and the theory of electromagnetic fields. He led the development of a wide range of issues related to the theory of control systems, such as questions of motion stability, nonlinear oscillations in control systems, navigation and reliability of control devices, vibration theory, and quantization of orbits.
On the basis of deep research in the field of applied mathematics and control processes the following organizational units were formed under the leadership of V.I. Zubov: the Laboratory of Theory of Control Devices and Mechanisms (1962), the Department of Control Theory (1967), the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Control Processes (1969), and the Research Institute of Computational Mathematics and Control Processes (1971). V.I. Zubov is the founder of the Center for Applied Mathematics and Control Processes. By the decision of the USSR Government in 1969 he was appointed the acting dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Control Processes.
The conference is held once every five years. Last two conferences, that took place in 2005 and 2010, attracted great attention of Russian and foreign scientists. Conference topics are concerned with ways in which V.I. Zubov conducted his research, and cover almost all the fundamental areas of modern applied mathematics and control processes, as well as continue to expand in line with the development of science. New sections on current areas of research are organized.
