I believe that much of my professional success has been grounded in strong organisational ability and self-discipline. Moreover, my work in education and earlier employment in the insurance industry enabled me to develop a range of further transferable skills. Additionally, my roles have demanded the ability to write clear and concise reports and references. Although my translation experience is obviously somewhat limited, I believe that my previous work experience, general knowledge and determination to succeed will stand me in good stead as a freelance translator.

I have travelled widely in Europe and have enjoyed two rewarding visits to North America. Travel has become a passion, providing me not only with a wealth of exciting cultural experiences but also opportunities to use my foreign-language skills. Always an avid reader, I enjoy detective fiction and, in order to keep in touch with French and Spanish culture, I frequently read literature by authors such as Henri Troyat, lsabel Allende and Carlos Ruiz Zafón.
