April 1988 ¨C Full-time employment as typographer at Basler Zeitung July 1990: AG, Basel, Switzerland. In charge of various projects concerning typesetting & preparation of documents, periodicals, journals, magazines etc. for print; proofreading.
1992 to present: Commencement of a full-time, freelance translation job on a full-time basis for various translation agencies in Taipei, Taiwan, after extensive travels and stays overseas for the improvement of language skills. Moreover, acceptance of translation projects from other and cooperation with other translation agencies abroad.

Dealing with texts on engineering, mechanical, electric, electronic, computer and information technology, and also on chemical, medical basis (medical reports and reports from the pharmaceutical industry) as well as on company profiles. Also translated texts from the food & beverage and packaging industry. These texts include more than 3,600 pages of DIN and other standards, a good 800 patent specifications (patent application texts) until now, user manuals and operating instructions for machines and electronic products.

Microsoft Word, but also Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel, and Trados on occasions.
Others:
Staying overseas in Taiwan, East Asia, for 20 years as an expatriate until now on a permanent basis, and I also have visited numerous English-speaking countries during this period of time.
