I currently work for GBS office in Shanghai which company is owned by a Portuguese hotel group. The company mainly focuses on the construction of five-star hotels and commercial & residential complex. My daily job includes the translation of the specification and drawings of each architectural specialty, the inquiry and quotation documents such as BOQ etc., and the correspondence between the domestic and overseas engineers. As part of the description of my job is to translate the technical documents in Portuguese, I practice and master the technique of translating documents from Portuguese to Chinese by myself.

I first started working at a specific overseas project department of the International Engineering Company of MCC Chenggong Construction Corp. Ltd. (shortened as MCC5) on Aug. 18th 2009 as a translator and assistant for the project manager as well. And later I was assigned a new position as a marketing specialist for the Overseas Engineering Branch of the company. Then my responsibility includes translating and compiling the tender document for project bidding and all aspects of assistance for the manager of the Overseas Engineering Branch.

I had worked for Baosteel as an interpreter under agent nearly two years at the No.5 Cold Rolling Mill and the No.1 Shanghai Steel Factory of the group company. I interpret for the foreign engineering supervisors at the following sites; APL (Media SV from SMS), CGL (SPM SV from Siemens), CAL (Mechanical Site Manager from SMS), CCL (Mechanical SV from Siemens), and CAPL (Instrument SV from Andritz). My job description is to interpret at site and for meeting and also to translate any relative paper work.
