Photo Imaging News is a Florida-based monthly business magazine dedicated to the global photo imagining industry. It established its China presence in 2002 and urgently needed qualified translators to produce its first Asian language version.
I first worked as a part-time translator for PIN. And then I helped recruit and build a team of 4 translators and acted as chief editor. I also kept contact with the Florida HQ and various branches in China to ensure timely arrival and delivery of the magazine stories and interpreted at industry meetings organized by the magazine.

My job at KPMG was to review and audit itmes on client company’s financial statements and report my findings and opinions to on-site managers/partners. About 3/5 of my work was with regular annual auditing or mid-year auditing as required by the regulator; the other 2/5 was related to IPO projects. It also gave me great exposure to diversified corporate cultures—SOEs, multinationals and primate companies and developed my skills in reading financial statements and think critically.
