My specialism in translation work is between Mandarin and English. My English has been further advanced since moving to Wales from China six years ago. I have proved my English language level by passing IELTS with a 6.5 overall band. FCE I passed successfully. My English level has been demonstrated by having held down an administrative post with The Probation Service for over five years. Experience / Specialisms My average translate 2500?3000 words per day from English to Chinese when I had an assignment. I am in the process of taking the professional DPSI exams. Motivational skills were displayed whilst in leadership positions. I recognise this key skill of motivating those I work with, and being an example to them. Experience in meeting deadlines. I am always meeting the deadline in every assignment which I take on. My interpersonal skills are actively displayed in my current role as an administrator for The Probation Service. I have built professional relationships with colleagues, offenders and partner organisations. I have also represented my department in Diversity meetings, bringing forward issues within my department, to the board members. Problem solving has been developed throughout my working life, at the moment this is being further enhanced through teamwork activities in the MA in Translation and Language technology that I am studying. Whilst teaching ,interpreting and translating, I developed the ability to explain difficult issues in simple terms. This was essential in communicating well with my students, project managers ,clients and customers. I have completed ECDL and advanced ECDL, and have been a member of The British Computer Society.

Form teacher and the head of Chinese teachers¡¯ team, taught two Chinese classes. July 1992¨CSep 2000: No 30 Middle School form teacher and the head of year of Chinese teachers team, taught two classes Chinese. First prize in the Chinese listening and vocabulary city wide competition in Harbin, China. This resulted in me receiving funding for studying in Australia for three months, which I began in Sep 2004. Won the Chinese teaching presentation competition in Harbin, China in 1998. Nominated as excellent teachers¡¯ representatives in Harbin, China in 2003. Obtained second prize in Heilongjiang Province in the second National Teaching Skills Contest for the Chinese Teachers of Middle schools.
